Political Economy Analysis Of Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion In Refugee Management in Dadaab Refugee Hosting Areas In Kenya | Conflict Assessment and Projections for Garissa County

Undertook thematic studies to inform BBC Media Action projects on radio programmes. First study was a PEA study on Natural Resources/ Extractives Industry in Somaliland and the second study explored drivers of food security in Turkana County looking at the dynamics posed by Kakuma Refugee camp and interactions with local communities.

Garissa County Conflict Mapping for UNDP Kenya

Project at a glance: Camerafrica utilized cross-cutting mixed-method research to analyse complex conflict dynamics. The project involved deep data collection through power analysis, household surveys, and focus group discussions to understand disputes related to climate change, grazing lands, and electoral boundaries. The technical support provided resulted in a comprehensive framework aimed at fostering social cohesion and addressing long-standing tensions.
